The Shops at Montelbello is proud to be a community partner. We strive to meet community challenges through a combination of employee volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with non-profit organizations which have missions consistent with our vision and values.

Montebello Commerce YMCA
The Shops at Montebello has been a proud supporter of the Montebello Commerce YMCA for many years. The Shops at Montebello is a major-gifts contributor to their annual Fundraising Campaign, and co-sponsors Healthy Kids Day.

In addition, as part of the Macerich Volunteer Program, The Shops at Montebello employees support the YMCA by providing volunteer support to the many various programs the YMCA has to offer.  

Kid's World Kid's Events
Kid's World events feature a variety of entertainment including crafts, storytelling, and music, as well as educational presentations on children's safety, health and fitness. Kid's World is free to join, and is open to all children ages 10 and younger. Applications may be picked up at Guest Services, located lower level, Center Court, near Macy's, during regular mall hours. Please see the Calendar of Events for specific dates.

MTC Steppers Mall Walkers Program
If you're ready to take your social life up a notch, the MTC Steppers mall walker program, is just what you need! Catch up on some gossip or break in a new pair of sneakers while meeting with friends every morning and getting some healthy exercise. All of this fun includes free quarterly seminars on important health topics, giveaways, rewards for walking, and more. For more information visit Guest Services, lower level, Center Court, or Public Safety, upper level, just beyond the elevator.

School Cents
Shop at The Shops at Montebello and earn money for your school!  Bring original receipts for purchased made at Montebello Town Center from September 15, 2009 through May 15, 2010 to Guest Services.  Your school earns points for every dollar spent in the mall.  Based on the total accumulated points, every school receives between $250 and $2,500 in American Express branded gift cards.

Contribution Requests  

Each year, The Shops at Montebello will contribute a preset amount of funds in the form of Gift Cards, merchandise and use of property to a diverse group of organizations. Hundreds of requests are anticipated each year. Donation recipients may include civil organizations' education programs; food banks; foundations; hospitals and healthcare organizations; youth programs; performing arts and museums and many more. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted.
